Summary
The Society on Neuroimmune Pharmacology (SNIP) scientific meetings are focused on uncovering how substance abuse renders humans more susceptible to infection and chronic diseases, with a particular focus on human immunodeficiency virus-1 (HIV-1). It is the only conference in the US and worldwide devoted to neuroimmune pharmacology, and the neuroimmune axis as it relates to drug abuse, inflammation and brain infections (primarily neuroHIV).
