Data Core

US · IL Columbia Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (NIH RePORTER) grant awarded #nih-2P30AG066462-06

Summary

The project aims to formalize and expand central data management and biostatistical resources for the Columbia Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (ADRC), ensuring data accuracy, security, and accessibility for research initiatives.

What they want

The Database Management and Statistical (DMS) Core will maintain a central data resource for all cores, provide procedures for data accuracy, integrity, and security, and facilitate access to clinical, genetics, biofluids, neuropathological, and imaging data. It will ensure timely data submission to NACC, coordinate data sharing, and process requests for data and biological resources. The DMS Core will also serve as a resource for research design, statistical analysis, planning, and training for other cores and Alzheimer’s research initiatives. Additionally, it will collaborate with the ORE and Clinical Cores to enhance web-based systems for recruitment into clinical trials, inclusion of NIH-designated high-risk populations, and streamlining autopsy data acquisition and submission.
