Children's Oncology Group

US · IL National Cancer Institute (NCI) grant awarded #nih-3U10CA180899-11S2

Summary

The Children's Oncology Group (COG) proposes to continue its collaborative research work as part of the National Cancer Institute's (NCI) National Clinical Trials Network (NCTN), focusing on designing and conducting clinical-translational studies for childhood cancer.

What they want

COG will design and conduct clinical-translational studies for children with cancer, building on molecular understanding of pediatric malignancies to improve outcomes. This includes studying novel therapeutic approaches such as targeted small molecule drugs, immunotherapies, and cellular therapies, using innovative clinical trial designs suitable for rare diseases. The research portfolio also includes trials focused on improving quality of life for children with cancer and survivors. COG will facilitate the collection and annotation of biospecimens. The proposal specifically supports the COG Statistics and Data Management Center to collaborate with scientific leaders to design, conduct, analyze, and report results of these trials.
Deliverables
  • Design and conduct clinical-translational studies for children with cancer
