Summary
This is a limited competition for the continuation of the Chronic Renal Insufficiency Cohort (CRIC) study, specifically for the Hopkins/University of Maryland Clinical Center, focusing on long-term participant follow-up, data integration, and resource generation for chronic kidney disease (CKD) research.
What they want
Phase 5 of the CRIC study involves ascertaining clinical outcomes for all participants, including those in Phase 4 sub-protocols; performing analyses linking sub-protocol measurements to clinical outcomes; integrating data from multiple domains to identify sub-phenotypes underlying CKD progression heterogeneity; conducting final study visits for the full CRIC cohort eligible for Phase 5; creating mechanisms for future data collection via linkages with external health data sources; and generating tools and resources to facilitate ongoing use of CRIC data and biospecimens by a broad group of investigators after the study officially ends. The Hopkins/UMB team will implement the Phase 5 protocol and contribute to CRIC's transition from an active cohort study to a long-lasting research resource.

- Integrated data from multiple domains to identify CKD sub-phenotypes
- Final study visits for the full CRIC cohort
- Mechanisms for future data collection via linkages with external health data sources
- Tools and resources to facilitate ongoing use of CRIC data and biospecimens
