What they want
The seminar will provide professional training on the epidemiology and prevention of cardiovascular diseases (CVD) and stroke. It aligns with NHLBI’s Strategic Goals to develop a diverse biomedical workforce with research competencies in CVD epidemiology, biostatistics, prevention, behavioral and social sciences, policy, and public health practice. The seminar aims to integrate evidence across these fields and translate research findings into effective policy and practice. Key activities include attracting diverse faculty, adapting program content for relevance, disseminating information to reach underrepresented groups, and recruiting participants from historically marginalized populations.
