Summary
The Design and Statistics Core (DSC) provides specialized statistical expertise and support for the design and analysis of embedded pragmatic clinical trials (ePCTs) focused on improving dementia care, particularly for the National Institute on Aging's IMPACT Collaboratory.
What they want
The DSC will support the design and conduct of ePCTs among people living with dementia (PLWD) and their care partners (CPs) by providing guidance and consultation on trial design, statistical analysis, and sample size considerations to IMPACT applicants and awardees, IMPACT Launchpad teams, and other NIA grant applicants. It will enhance investigator capacity through training in ePCT design, statistical analysis, and sample size considerations, serving as a national resource and mentoring Faculty Scholars and post-doctoral Fellows. Additionally, the DSC will develop and disseminate knowledge to advance best practices for ePCT design, statistical analysis, and sample size considerations, with a focus on methodological developments for evaluating heterogeneous treatment effects and generalizations of dyadic designs and analyses.
