Project summary. Inflammation underlies majority of human diseases including diabetes, atherosclerosis, and cancer. These diseases are responsible for majority of deaths and represent substantial global health burden. Macrophages and T-cells, subsets of immune cells, have emerged as key mediators of inflammation.
